By accepting these terms and conditions you indicate that you agree to them and therefore may purchase products from the winepair.co.za online web site.

 

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF GOODS & SERVICES

WINE PAIR is an online wine shop & web site that sells South African produced wines and other wine related products and accessories.

 

ORDER PROCESSING

 

  • The status of your order will be confirmed via email.
  • We sell only to South African buyers online through the Payfast, Snapscan and EFT payment systems used by major South African corporate supermarket groups and banks for online shopping websites.
  • International orders are dealt with on request and individually per email and electronic banking.
  • The price of the items excludes the delivery charge which will be calculated during checkout.
  • Errors and Omissions Excluded.

 

AVAILABILITY

We will endeavour to source the wine and vintage you are looking for, however this will be subject to availability.

It happens from time to time that the vintage is sold out during the time that your order is processed.

Should this happen we will contact you to suggest an alternative wine at the same price. If you do not wish to go with our alternative suggestion we will be able to ship the available stock whilst ensuring that you receive reimbursement for the wines that we ran out of.

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, the order will be delivered to the address confirmed by you upon checkout.

 

DELIVERY

All deliveries within South Africa are by Courier and direct to your door.

When your order is delivered a signature must be obtained from an adult older than 18 years. Should you not be available to take receipt of your package a note will be left requiring you to contact the Courier office to make arrangements to deliver the package at a suitable time.

Important notice: Any Special Delivery Instructions requesting the courier to leave the package in a specific location effectively gives them permission to deliver the package without a signature.

Please report any Breakages or Shortages to Wine Pair within 24 hours, preferably by email and quoting your receipt number.

Insurance: Goods are only insured up to the point of delivery: Until a signature is obtained or wherever the goods are left as per your special delivery instructions.

 

SHIPPING

Important information:

  • Costs include: Insurance, VAT and fuel levies.
  • Parcels are delivered to the door of the recipient
  • Overnight service is available on request, please contact us for a quotation
  • Please note that during public holidays, long weekends and Christmas holiday season times, delays can be experienced due to increased freight volumes.
  • Indicate postal codes with delivery address.
  • Parcels can be re-packaged in to poly packaging on request at minimal extra cost.
  • Wines cannot be delivered to post box numbers
  • International Shipping on request

 

RETURNS POLICY

Your Customer satisfaction is our main priority. If you buy wine from us and for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the product, Wine Pair will endeavour to refund or replace the product in question. Please ensure you contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order to notify us, otherwise you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.

If you have not received the correct order without any prior notification from us, we will be happy to exchange your wine or refund the original amount charged, provided the wine is returned to Wine Pair in its original condition.

If we are not able to source the particular wine you requested, we will be able to exchange it for an alternative wine or refund you if this is not acceptable to you.

If an order is returned or cancelled – the shipping charges incurred when returning it to Wine Pair must be absorbed by yourself. However if the wine is found to be faulty, Wine Pair will pay the shipment charges.

Please note that we are not in a position to exchange or refund any wines which are not to your personal preference. You are welcome to contact us should you require advice on wine selection prior to your purchase of wine.

 

PRIVACY

We understand the importance of privacy and security. We are committed to protecting the information we collect from you and guarantee that it will only be used for purposes of processing your order and providing you with services you request from us. Under no circumstances will your personal data be made available to any organisation or third party. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

 

CREDIT CARD ACQUIRING AND SECURITY

We value your trust and thus make every effort and use the highest security standards to ensure that we protect your personal data from unauthorised access.

Your order, personal data and your credit card details are protected by technical security systems and an additional authorisation process – both when transferring data and saving data on our servers.

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Wine Pair through PayFast or SnapScan. No credit card details are stored on the Wine Pair website. PayFast and SnapScan ensure their Internet servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems with a double firewall security system, extensive use of SSL encryption for all transactions, and our offline encrypted storage facility offer both storeowners and their customers peace-of-mind and minimal risk.

Security concerns? It is natural for those new to electronic commerce to be concerned about security of personal and credit card details. We would like to assure you that an Internet commerce transaction is significantly more secure than if you were to hand your card over a counter in a shop.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS ACCEPTED

Payment may be made via PayFast Visa, Master Card, Instant EFT or SnapScan.

Alternative payment options are by EFT (Electronic Banking) or Direct bank deposit for which proof of payment has to be emailed to:  payments@winepair.co.za

 

CUSTOMER DETAILS SEPARATE FROM CARD DETAILS

Customer details will be stored by Wine Pair separately from card details which are never stored on our website, but instead go through encrypted payment processes facilitated by SnapScan and PayFast.

 

MERCHANT OUTLET COUNTRY AND TRANSACTION CURRENCY

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).

 

RESPONSIBILITY

Wine Pair takes responsibility for aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and after sales support and delivery of goods.

 

ALCOHOL SALES

Wine Pair does not sell alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age, and reserves the right to request positive identification to verify this information if we feel the need.

 

COUNTRY OF DOMICILE

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Wine Pair chooses it as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, the terms and conditions will not be affected and will therefore remain valid and enforceable by South African law.

 

VARIATION

Wine Pair may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
